Organizational Nature

The Ottawa Tourism & Convention Authority is the official organization for marketing Ottawa and the surrounding districts and has membership in both the greater Ottawa area as well as Gatineau, Quebec.

Ottawa Tourism needed to update its call centre application with an embedded content management systems which serviced more than 40 hotels partners in both French and English.

Meridian was asked to provide a full call centre reservation capability, content management, customer relationship management and broadcasting capability for hotels wishing to participate in the Ottawa Tourism Reservation Program.

The Program is an ongoing operational effort with more properties being brought on board monthly. 

Meridian Products and Services in Deployment

The Ottawa Tourism Project was the first deployment of the a fully bilingual call centre application in both English and French.   The overall development needed approximately 40 days of custom development to accommodate the creation of the Hotel Microsite System in both English & French

  • Integrated Reservation System for Participating Hotels
  • On-site Training  & Orientation in Ottawa
  • Bilingual Training, property support, and new setups from our office in Niagara Falls, Canada

Project Scale

Currently there are approximately 40 properties participating in the direct inventory program. 

Unique Customization for this Project

Products are fully bilingual in both English and French.

Project Timeline

Meridian completed the operational launch of this project in approximately 49 days between the delivery of graphical skins by their agency and the launch date.
